Media & Books Book to Movie Adaptations

Many times I hear folks complain about books being made into Movies and often times it makes sense but I also think it has to do with your expectation going in.

What do you think about Books being made into Movies? Share an experience or two with us

The book is always better than the movie IMO. I don't think I have seen a movie that was a book being better. But that is from my perspective. I suppose I just need to come across that one movie that is better. I think what makes a book better is the fact we read what is on someone's mind, and in a movie, they can't exactly do that, it has been done but it is just not the same thing.

I think that books do tend to have the upper hand on a movie just because of the format that the story is being told. It is more acceptable to have a long series of books it seems than a long series of movies and even if that isn't a roadblock I think that an issue is that some details that are in books aren't acceptable to be translated into a movie.
